Black cartridges
- Use the drill to enlarge the air
vent in the top of the cartridge. In some cases, simply
puncture
the label with the eyescrew. The
fill hole may be located by the
depression under the label.
Color cartridges:
- Use the eyescrew to pry off the cartridge cap. On some cartridges locate the three fill holes by the depression under the label and puncture with the eyescrew.
VERIFY THE COLOR OF THE RESERVOIR WITH A TOOTHPICK!
DIFFERENT CARTRIDGES HAVE DIFFERENT COLORS IN THE THREE RESERVOIRS. SEE THE DRAWING.
Common procedures:
- Remove the cap from the correct color ink bottle and
insert the needle through the
appropriate fill hole. - SLOWLY squeeze the bottle injecting ink into the cartridge.
- DO NOT OVERFILL.
- Replace the cap on the ink bottle and blot away excess ink.
- Install the small fill plug in the fill hole or tape over the holes in the label. DO NOT cover the vent notches in label.
- Install in the printer.
